Conservation Using Water Pipelines for Hydraulic Fracturing

Throughout the Appalachian Region, large amounts of pressurized and treated water are injected into natural gas wells to stimulate gas and oil production from shale deposits. Conventional operations use truck fleets to transport water from source to wellsite, potentially impacted local highways and production areas. Well dynamics, proppant transportation, fluid-rock interactions, and fracture conductivity all influence economic and ecologic efficiencies along with overall water consumption.

Installing water pipelines directly from source to well pads using DeZURIK valves significantly increases the efficiency of natural gas production and reduces waste. With the ultimate goal of less water and energy use, along with safer production areas, DeZURIK is contributing to a safer, greener tomorrow.
